Nelly is originally from Toronto Canada, she now lives and works in the UK. Nelly is freelance painter and a print-maker who focuses on creating expressive, colorful pieces, chasing the elusive balance of curious and familiar.
“My fundamental motivation to paint is derived from the surprise element of the open-ended process. The marks I make are a combinations of freedom and intent that add up to a contemporary painting. My work is a visual response to the experiences I live through and the accumulation of emotionas translated into colour, shape and gesture”.
