Kevin Salisbury
I am a multi-media artist who is travelling through time and space using art as means to inform. How we perceive this abstract we call time, through our own mortality, culture and language, and environment. The marks and traces we leave within this world.
Modern culture, religious philosophy, spiritual, superstitious and scientific revelations have all played their part in my work. Artist such as Marina Abramovich, Tehching Hsieh, Richard Long and Katie Paterson have all been influences in recent work.
For me art is more than just producing something which is aesthetically pleasing to look at, it has introduced me to ideas in the past I may have not considered. It is this that I try to reflect in my art.
