Atelier trained Artist & Alchemist Alyson studied Fine Art in Greater Manchester, England, graduating with a First-Class Degree in Fine Art and a Master of Arts. Subsequently, Alyson went on to study at the ARC Atelier of Fine Art in Edinburgh Scotland, to learn the time-honoured drawing and painting methods of the Masters. Alyson’s passion for relearning techniques almost lost in time led to her increasing involvement with handmade chemical photographic techniques, including the Platinum, Wet Plate Collodion and Daguerreotype processes – subsequently incorporating these antiquated processes into her contemporary creative vision to create atmospheric, contemporary artworks.
Inspired by nature, myth and our deep relationship with land and place, the ethereal aesthetic of her work is created through the use of oils, graphite, charcoal, along with alchemic, original handmade printing techniques.
Alyson’s work is currenlty exhibited internationally, with gallery representation in England and Manhattan, New York.
